Bulk Orders, Restock, General Info 9.30.26
Hello All!
This will be a real variety pack email-
1) I just loaded a small amount of a handful of twists to the website while we wait for a mill shipment to come in. I am hoping to see that shipment in the next few weeks and will load that stock immediately to the website when I have it in hand!
2) Annual Mill Closure: As a reminder for those of you who order bulk cord-- the mill does close mid-December for a month every year. The 2026 bulk order cutoff date is October 30, 2026 at 5pm MST to receive rolls/cones in 2026. After the cutoff date, no more bulk orders will be accepted until orders re-open on January 1, 2027 and the mill usually reopens mid January so that is when the first order of the year is placed. If your rolls/cones are on our first 2027 order, they will have an estimated delivery date of beginning/middle of March 2027.
3) I just wanted to thank you for your patience the past couple of years as we navigate tariffs, etc. It seems like things have calmed down a bit and in 2027 I plan to look back into doing some pre-orders for Limited Edition twists. I know everyone has been waiting and asking for them and I will continue to watch
for updates to tariff policies but am hopeful to be able to bring some back again in the form of pre-orders! The "pro" to pre orders is that everyone has a chance to get some of the twists due to the extended open window and no limits on orders; what’s hard because the mill orders we put together after we run pre-orders are pretty significant in cost and since everything is paid for up front, if we were to be hit with tariffs on a $10-$15k mill order (just in cord, not including shipping!) for pre-orders, that would be a huge hit to us and an unexpected cost that we have no way of recovering. On the other hand, if I were to only get a few rolls at a time for Limited Edition twists and not run a pre-order and some folks missed out on them because they sold out quickly, that is also unpopular- it’s hard for me to predict what and how much to order of each. There have been some instances where we have some Limited Edition twists to sell and I set limited on the amount of cord each person could buy. Those of you that were here for Turquoise Tweed Round 1 remember what a mess that was when the plugin that was supposed to help limit folks to specific lengths wouldn't let anyone check out and it was a disaster! Then we tried an honor system for limiting each twist to a certain length in an effort for more folks to be able to get some, and that was also a learning curve! This is more information than you ever wanted to know but I wanted to share just to let you know it is not as simple as I'd like it to be as far as figuring out the best solutions.
Again, thank you all for being here and we are looking forward to 2027! We hope everyone is having a great fall!
Cheers,
Tracy (and Dana)
